Why are centennials such a big deal? It is only because we have five fingers on each hand and the Arabs decided it made better arithmetic to use both hands unlike the stupid Romans
who couldn't even come up with a number that was the absence of value - "0" - which is what makes any good arithmetic usable. Our decimal system of counting is actually very cumbersome when it comes to real arithmetic, if we only had four fingers on each hand
we would be using Octal which is ever so much better, that's why computers use base 8, 16, 32, 64 and then have to waste processing power converting it to decimal for us five fingered humans.
